Step 1: Create your personal fundraising page by visiting the campaign page to get started
“It was easy to create a page and I am excited to share the story of Khajal* with my supporters!”
Step 2: Decide your event location, time, other day-of details needed, and create directions on how to get your registrants signed up and ready for Sept 10th
“Living in San Diego, we have a beautiful and long bike path that stretches 5k between Liberty Station to Waterfront Park. We will have people register by giving the minimum donation of $15 online through our fundraising page and then I will follow up with those who want to join us on the 5k bike ride individually.”
Step 3: Find a Matching Grant
This is new to this year’s campaign and we have already started to receive grants of $10,000!
Step 4: Start sharing about a student of Restoring Hope and the need for them to learn their way out of poverty
“There are many blog posts already with student stories on the Restoring Hope website and other posts on social media pages can be re-shared, besides my own fundraising page.”
Step 5: Get participants to join
“All the information about my event and how to give to our fundraiser are mentioned in the page I built. I can share it with my friends and hope they will reshare it with others! If someone still needs help finding where to meet, or other details the day-of, I asked them to leave a comment on the page so I can get back to them.
Have fun this Sports Day and we hope you have success in reaching your fundraising goals to send a student to college in South Asia!
