Hi, Matt here! I am running the BMW Dallas Marathon in December to raise funds and awareness for Restoring Hope, an organization that provides support to orphaned and vulnerable children, their families, and entire villages in South Asia.
This cause was deeply important and personal to my late friend, Todd Whiting. Will you join me in honoring his legacy, and continuing his positive impact on the world with a donation today?
Orphaned and vulnerable children in South Asia are very often overlooked and undervalued, leaving their futures limited. That’s why Restoring Hope empowers children to break generational cycles of poverty—through family-based care, quality education, and connection to the local church.
Each child is provided with what they need to grow beyond the limitations of their background, creating waves of transformation in their families and communities, and throughout South Asia.
Your gift today will help a child, and their family, break out of poverty and into community—it will quite literally restore their hope!
During the early 2000s, I got to know my friend Todd Whiting while living in New York City. Todd was always pushing the boundaries of physical and mental challenges, and he inspired others to do the same. I had never entered an endurance race in my life, but Todd convinced a group of us to form a team to compete in a challenging obstacle and endurance race. We ended up having an incredible weekend of fun and hard work in Austin, TX.
From that point forward, I have been an avid endurance athlete, and have been hooked on distance running. I’m currently attempting to run a time fast enough to qualify for the Boston Marathon and I felt called to honor Todd in some way during this race.
